Government Data Practices Act Request 

Dear Dr. Peterson

This is a Minnesota Government Data Practices Act request. This request concerns actions taken by the Mankato Area Public School Districts Administration and Cabinet members as well as the administration at the middle schools, regarding equity, safety and social justice topics. I am making these requests under Minnesota Statutes §§ 13.01, et seq.

I request being kept reasonably informed on your progress with the request and informed of the rationale for any delay. Nevertheless, any cooperation does not waive the statutory rights to seek judicial relief for delays, denials of access to data, or other non-compliance allegations as they arise or are committed. Minn. Stat. §§ 13.08 ad 13.09.

All copies of documents requested should be sent electronically to ensure copying and personnel time are kept at a minimum.

The Requests.

I hereby request the following data, under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act:

1. Any and all settlement agreements between Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) and ISD 77 since January 1, 2018

2. Any and all collaboration agreements between Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) and ISD 77 since January 1, 2018

3. Any and all Progress reports submitted to Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) since January 1, 2020

4. Equity Oriented Strategic Planning (EOSP) form

Please inform me if the cost will exceed $100.  However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of the Mankato area schools equity policies.  This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.

If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
